The Freddy Gleissner Jr.- Vinnie Gough Sr. Memorial Scholarship Foundation offers financial assistance to individuals pursuing a career as a Fire Fighter in Florida .  The mission of Foundation is to provide financial support for the educational needs of those individuals attending or planning to attend Florida college/university or certified trade school in the Florida without which they would not be able to achieve their educational goals.

1. Eligibility –  US Citizen,  Senior or High School Graduate with a minimum of a 2.8 GPA, recommended by principal, guidance counselor or Fire Professional.  Applicants must successfully complete the First Responder Class.   Applicants Must be a must be citizens of the United States on the date the application is signed Legal permanent resident status does not qualify.
2. Criteria – Applicants will be judged on and financial need, scholarship, and leadership. Leadership scores will be based on a student’s employment, community service, honors and awards, positions of leadership, extracurricular activities and an essay.
